Book It!- March

Liking the title so far? ahaha I couldn't figure out a better title. So for now it's Book Slut. Okay so if you don't know yet, I am a book slut. LOL Yes, I love books. I normally read more than 1 book at a time and I don't know why. I just like to switch them up depending on my mood. Currently I am onto 4 books but here are the two that I have been quite focusing on this month.

1. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff and it's all Small Stuff by Richard Carlson.

I cannot stress enough how much I am obsessed with this book. It just literally hits you on the spot. I seriously recommend this book to everyone. Absolute gem!

** Often we allow ourselves to get all worked up about things that, upon closer examination, aren't really that big a deal. We focus on little problems and blow them out of proportion. ... Whether we had to wait in line, listen to unfair criticism, or do the lion's share of the work, it pays enormous dividends if we learn not to worry about little things. So many people spend so much of their life energy "sweating the small stuff" that they completely lose touch with the magic and beauty of life.

2. Georgia Nicholson Book series by Louise Rennison

This is sort of a Children book. Haha Yep, the story of Georgia's life is pathetic but also quite entertaining to read, well obviously because I'm on the 5th series now. The lead in this book is an absolute whack job! ahaha As Georgia would say "It's vair vair funny!" I probably would recommend this to those who just wanted to have an ultra easy read, kind of a past-time thing.

I hope you guys will enjoy reading these books as much as I did. Should I posts my Monthly Favorite books? uhmm... Y'all know I can't keep these series blogs but sure I'll try hehe.

P.S I would love to hear your favorite books
so I can check them out myself.

Tips: Lipstick 101

Choosing the shade of lipstick for your skin tone:
When choosing the correct shade of lipstick you must look at your complexion:
If you have fair skin deep, plum reds, berry, wine reds with a blue undertone look best. Browns -light medium browns or beige's with pink undertones flatter fair skins. Pink undertone lipsticks compliment fair skin very nicely. However, stay away from those bright, loud pink lipsticks.
Olive/Yellow skin should choose rich, deep brown reds and deep, dark berry shades. Stay away from orange/reds and pink/reds, they can bring out the yellow undertones in your skin. Try to avoid pink lipstick at all costs.
Medium skin should use rich, deep pinks, deep reds, rich caramel shades, medium brown with yellow or pink undertones, and creamy coffee colored brown lipsticks. Stay away from browns that are very pale. They can make medium skins look ashy and washed out.
Dark skin should try reds with blue undertones. Also, mahogany, deep plums, wine reds, almost any shade of brown, rich, dark, coffee browns flatter the skin. Avoid orange undertones in lipsticks.
Despite how important it is to choose the right shade for your skin tone, putting on lipsticks should be fun so go ahead and take some risks. But whatever happens, NEVER pull this one. It does not look good on any skin tone or occasions! Oh wait… except of course if you are dressing up as a Witch for Halloween, that can be forgiven.

Enjoy your lipstick-osity adventure!!!

February Favorites

Okay so I know I haven't done any beauty related post since my Project Pan just because I really haven't done or use anything quite interesting to put up and plus I've been extremely busy with work and stuff. Anyway, this post will be everything I love or been obsessing about since Feb.

*Products that are part of my Project Pan

1.* Laura Mercier Foundation Primer -I love it. It really does make my foundation last longer and easier to apply.

2.* Benetint - I'm happy to announce this will be done soon -yay! Gives me a natural flush and its definitely good for 'on the go'.

3. * Sephora Concealer Quad - I'm loving the purple concealer, yes you got it right I said Purple! I use it for my undereye circles and it helps to brighten them up. It will not conceal the dark circles per se but will however make you look more "awake".

4. EOS Lipbalm Mint - So obsessed with this egg-like lipbalm, its tres cute. May not be the most moisturizing lipbalm but its uber cute!

5. Coastal Scents Foundation brush - This is probably the only brush I use pretty much everyday. I use it for foundation and concealer. It's quick and easy which is why I am in love with it.

6. Tresemme Heat Protectant Spray - one word, Amaze! It protects your hair from heat damage caused by flat irons, curlers and blowdry. I tried other heat protectant before and most of them makes my hair really crunchy which I don't like. This one however doesn't do that, in fact it makes my hair really soft and smells really good too. Definitely will recommend!

7. *L.A Color Nail Lacquer in Sheer Beige - This is my "no brainer, no fuss" nail polish. The reason I love this polish is that it makes my hands look really clean. It goes with any outfit and occasion. Must-Have!

8. Greater Love - Okay so this is a book and not anything beauty but I am literally Obsessed with it. This is the one and only book that has made me cry... sorry I meant SOB... and that pretty much sums up how much I love this book. Maybe because I can relate to it?!

9. Drops of Jupiter by Train - Another Obsession! This has been on repeat in my Ipod and Itunes at work. I just can't enough of this song! If I could I will marry this song, but I can't so maybe will play it on my future wedding (in 2050!)

10. How I Met Your Mother - IAMOFFICIALLYINLOVEWITHNEILPATRICKHARRIS!

I think I will soon post my very first Project Pan update. Completely psyched about this as I felt that it has been forever to finish a makeup product.

Oh well till next time...
