BookIt!: Pic, (mini) Reviews and Updates

BookIt! pic of the Month.

Will try to insert a pic in my BookIt! posts just for the fun of it. I love browsing pictures/photos relating to reading, libraries, books and whatnots so figured I'll share them with you guys.

Anyways, this is just a quick update on how I am getting along with my 50 Books Challenge. I’ve been pretty slacking on my reading department this month mainly because I didn’t get much time but I managed to kick myself in the butt, figuratively speaking- of course!, and really took time to finish a few books. I can’t have Bex over there winning our Book Challenge can I?! So anyway here are my March reads:

  1. The Girl with who played with fire – Steig Larsson
  2. Darren Shan series, Book 1 Cirque du Freak
  3. Darren Shan series, Book 2 Vampire’s Assistant
  4. Pandemonium (Delirium Book 2) – Lauren Oliver
Here’s a quick review on each book.

The Girl with who played with fire is book 2 of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The 2nd book was good. It’s the continuation of where Dragon Tattoo left off. But I can say that it has more twists and turns. Also in book 2 I love how badass Salander was written. I love Salander’s character; she’s the girl I wish I could be except for her slightly paranoid side. All in all I cannot wait to read the 3rd one.

Along with my book series, I started the Darren Shan books I only have books 1-3 and I’m not sure if I will purchase the rest of the series. Don’t get me wrong I did enjoy reading this series. It’s a children’s book and once you get pass the childishness of it, the book does get interesting. I’m on to my 3rd book so we’ll see from there if I’ll go out of my way to get the rest of the series.

For my favorite read this month it is none other than Pandemonium *insert confetti’s* The first book has such a compelling story but even more so in the 2nd book. I swear there were parts in the book where I have stopped breathing because I’m so caught up with the storyline. This is my most recommended book for this month. But I would suggest you to read Delirium first otherwise you might get lost with some of the characters.

That’s all for my March reads. I know I said in my previous post that I was reading There's No Place like Here and I STILL am! Ugh, it pains to me keep talking about this book and not being able to finish it. I don’t know what it is about that book but I cannot for the life of me get rid of it. But trust me, I’m working on it.

Anyway, till my next BookIt! Posts…

Ciao,
jCel♥
